Industrial Production Processes of PE Sheets
1.Different PE sheet types adopt targeted molding processes to ensure plate density, flatness and stability.
1.1 Extrusion Molding Process Production
Flow: Raw material drying → melt extrusion → die forming → traction cooling → fixed-size cutting.
Advantages: High production efficiency, continuous mass production, smooth and flat plate surface, uniform thickness.
Applicable Products: Conventional HDPE sheets, LLDPE sheets.

1.2 Compression Molding Process Production
Flow: Material weighing → material spreading → mold closing & heating → pressure holding & cooling → demolding.
Advantages: High plate density, low internal stress, no deformation, suitable for extra-thick plates.
Applicable Products: UHMWPE thick sheets, special customized PE plates.
2. Secondary Machining Methods for PE Sheets
PE thermoplastic sheets support diversified deep processing with standardized operation specifications:
- Cutting: Saw cutting, milling cutting, water jet cutting (avoid high-speed overheating melting)
- Drilling: Low-speed feeding with cooling treatment to prevent material melting and adhesion
- Welding: Hot air welding, hot plate welding, extrusion welding (HDPE sheets have excellent weldability)
- Bonding: Special PE adhesive required, professional surface pretreatment for firm adhesion
- Bending: Thermal bending molding only; cannot be bent at room temperature.
